Mordechai –
With the proper Jewish sound
in the middle of his name.

In the right place at the right time.
Saved the king from assassination
by telling what he heard.

Then he went and didn’t bow
when, I hate to say his name, but
Haman wanted a display of
the tops of heads and
bent knees.

Some say this is where he
got the idea to build the gallows.
Haman, not Mordechai.

Mordechai was a Tzaddik.
You can visit his grave in Iran.
(If you could visit Iran.)
He reversed all our fortunes.
